I'm so excited to announce that I just released my first podcast and I'm so stoked for you all to hear it! Podcasting was the last thing I thought I would ever do because for the longest time, I was not confident with my own voice. However, I guess during this quarantine period, I did a lot of reflecting and I decided that this was something I wanted to try. I wanted to truly step out of my comfort zone and push myself beyond what I thought I was capable of.

So I really had no idea where to start at first because I wasn't about to jump in and invest in an expensive microphone set when I wasn't even sure what my podcast was going to be about. All I knew was that I wanted to bring some joy and positivity into everybody's lives because I find too often that the things we hear, especially the news, are usually pretty negative and heavy. I also knew I wanted to tie it in with food somehow since I believe food is something that unites us all: from the family gatherings and the conversations around the dinner table, to that cafe date with your bestie where you catch up on what feels like years of life, to how food is able to portray the most beautiful aspects of every culture in a unique and tasty way. Hence, I decided to name my podcast "One Nom at a Time" because I hope that by uniting us all though food, together, we can get through all the obstacles in life one step at a time.

In terms of my recording process, I usually pick some sort of central theme or topic for each show (I currently have a very exciting list in my bullet journal so tune in for more fun episodes to come)! Then I would spend about a day or so coming up with some of the things I want to talk about and the general order of the show. Personally, I find the recording process the most tedious because when it comes to recording, it's really hard for me to refrain from starting over every time I mess up and usually, I tend to talk pretty fast so I've been trying to slow down a bit which has been something I had to practice and adjust to. However, I'm slowly getting used to it and in terms of equipment, I just use my handy phone and earphones and it has been doing me justice so far so I think I'll have to gauge where my podcast goes before investing in more legit equipment. Afterwards, I just edit directly on Anchor, although I'm currently looking towards other editing platforms. If productive, I would say I could get an episode done in around 4 days but sometimes, I like to give myself a break in between my drafting phase and my recording phase just to sit on my thoughts a bit to see if there are any new ideas along the way so realistically, it would take me about a week.

I think this pretty much sums up my new project and I hope you will all enjoy it! In the meantime, if there are any topics that you would like me to talk about in my podcast, please feel free to message me on Instagram @foodyblogs or directly comment down below on this post because I'd love to hear the ideas you have! Thanks for all the support! My podcast can be found below on Spotify, Anchor, or wherever you listen to your podcasts on!
