Tasting at Goodbowl

I finally had the chance to try out Goodbowl after passing by quite a few times! I love their customization concept of letting you create your own bowl and then grilling it on the spot! All their ingredients are super fresh and not to mention, they also serve freshly made juice using their juicer. As a vegetarian, I have always loved to seek out healthy food and this place definitely gave me that vibe!

They started us off with some fruit infused sparkling water! It was super hot that day so these were perfect for the weather! The drink was very refreshing, hydrating, and gave you that "soft drink/pop" like feel except it was healthy!

Next, we were able to choose our bowls and have them grilled on the spot! The size choices were kids size for $6.95, regular size for $9.95, and large for $12.95. The regular size was already super filling being that I didn't eat lunch before going and also that I went later in the afternoon at around 2pm but I was still stuffed! There were also a variety of sauces to choose from and I really love anything saucy so when my noodles came out coated in the spicy korean sauce that I chose, I was really happy with it! My mom who got the rice bowl went with the thai curry sauce which was equally as yummy! They also gave us a chicken salad and we had to pack that away because we were so full!

For vegetarians like me, they use organic tofu as the protein and for meat eaters, they use a variety of high quality meat. I was impressed by the quality of the ingredients, especially prominent in their juices. I could taste how fresh each juice was and usually when I make juice at home with my juicer, it never tastes as sweet and is usually too "vegetable like" if you know what I mean. However, their apple/beet juice was seriously amazing and even though I usually don't like beet juice, I really enjoyed this one! The carrot orange was also super refreshing and didn't remind me of the carroty taste in carrot juice!

Their store was also super spacious and clean. Especially because it was surrounded by windows, the sunlight really made the atmosphere really bright and warm. I saw people working on their laptops and I can definitely see this as a nice lunch meeting spot!

Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Goodbowl! I love the concept of clean eats and their food was definitely tasty as well and you can customize it to your own liking which gives you a lot of choices! It reminds me a bit of UGrill in a way. I would probably stick next time with a kids' size because even the regular size was too much for me! I will also be back to try their smoothies and juices again because those were really good!
